Next Wave invests in post-production house Molinare

Next Wave Partners today announces that it has completed the acquisition of Molinare TV and Film Limited, a leading UK post production business for an undisclosed sum.

Molinare, the London-based post-production house, has worked on a string of successful film and television hits, including Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and the BBC’s Silent Witness. Molinare was named Best Post Production House at the 2012 Broadcast Awards. Integral to the investment, Steve Milne, former CEO of Molinare, returns as Executive Chairman, joined by new Managing Director Julie Parmenter, former global head of sales and operations at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Jonathan Brod, Managing Partner of Next Wave Partners, commented: “We are looking forward to working with Steve, Julie and the whole team at Molinare to grow the business and build on its many successes to date. Molinare is a classic Next Wave Partners investment: a market leading business with substantial growth potential.”

Next Wave Partners’s investment portfolio includes: Petainer (a fast growing sustainable packaging manufacturer), Secured Mail (the UK’s second fastest growing private company) and SPA Future Thinking, the UK’s largest private market research group.

Jonathan Brod and Dean Mackenzie of Next Wave Partners will join the board of Molinare as Non Executive Directors. Macfarlanes, PwC and Davenport Lyons advised Next Wave Partners on the transaction.
