Mark Cappell joins Next Wave Partners as a Senior Adviser.

Next Wave Partners, the growth capital investment firm, has announced the appointment of Mark Cappell as a Senior Adviser.

Mark Cappell has had a highly successful career as CEO of a number of software companies including Smartstream Technologies, which was private equity backed and sold to DIFC for £250m in 2007.  Since then Mark has been CEO of 5 private equity backed companies and has added over £300m in value to investors.  In addition, he has managed a significant number of due diligence and turnaround engagements for private equity firms.

Mark Cappell will join Next Wave Partners as a Senior Adviser, to provide Next Wave portfolio companies with strategic business advice and specific advice regarding their sales and marketing plans, including helping them with implementation where appropriate.

The addition of Mark Cappell to Next Wave Partners follows on the appointment of Oliver Hemsley, Founder and CEO of Numis Securities as a Special Adviser.  It also builds on another highly successful year for the Firm.  Next Wave portfolio companies have continued to perform well achieving over 30% weighted average growth in revenue and have benefited from continued investment, international expansion, new client wins and growth in profit margins.
