Clearway announces Peter Eglinton as new Executive Chairman

The Clearway Group Limited (Clearway) has announced the appointment of Peter Eglinton as its Executive Chairman.  Peter will take over the day-to-day running of the business from Ian Quinlan, Group Chief Executive, who has led Clearway’s growth and development over the past six years.

Peter brings with him 20 years of experience leading six disparate businesses where the key common success factors have entailed working in environments of significant organic growth paired with constant business development and significant M&A activity. During that period, he has worked extensively with private equity backed businesses. Peter also has significant experience driving expansion across Europe and North America.

Ian Quinlan will continue to support Clearway and the senior management team to assist in ensuring continuity, no loss of momentum to ensure the Group benefits from his vast experience and his network in the industry, built up over several decades.

Under Ian Quinlan’s leadership, Clearway has developed in line with its original strategic plan which set out to grow organically and through strategic acquisitions to create a leading European security and monitoring business. This has included development of its national coverage in UK and France, extending its customer base to include national and international corporations, accessing new sectors and significant expansion of its product offerings and technology throughout Europe.

Today, Clearway continues to build on its strengths and its ever-expanding portfolio and sector diversification. Peter Eglinton will work closely with the experienced senior management team to take the Group through the next phase of its exciting strategic growth.

Speaking about the appointment, Jonathan Brod, Non Exec Director – The Clearway Group Limited, said: “We would like to reiterate how grateful we are for Ian’s vision, leadership and mentorship over the last 6 years. We welcome Peter on board and are delighted to have him with us to help deliver the next phase of the Clearway vision and wish him every success in the future. We will, of course, provide him with our full support and commitment which has been a key part of the growth and success of Clearway to date.”

Having spent time with the existing management team Peter added: “I’m really looking forward to what we can do next, the past 6 years have seen significant growth under Ian’s watchful eye, and I will be fully embracing the challenge to continue that great work, supported by the entire Clearway team.”
